Hennessey Performance Engineering just released information on the latest big beast they are crafting. This time their attention has taken hold on the new 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Starting with the currently available 5.4 liter V8 model, the company now has a complete power package for the truck for you to order now.
The Hennessey VelociRaptor 500 starts with a supercharger. They upgraded the fuel system with custom fuel rails and higher flow fuel injectors to keep enough fuel coming to the cylinders to match all that airflow. Downstream is a set of new stainless steel headers, mid-pipe and full high flow exhaust system.
Hennessey then turned their attention to the software and gave it a custom tune. The results of their package turn and impressive 501-hp and 520 lb of torque. That increases the speed for a 0-60 to an impressive 5.6 seconds, down from stock 8.8 seconds to 60. The quarter mile as you can see in the video below is a solid 14.1 seconds at 97 mph.
