Yep. The new 6.2 liter big block 400+hp versions of the SVT F-150 Raptor is now in production and on the way to dealerships around the country. The new top dawg engine option has been anxiously awaited for some time now, though it hasn’t stopped people from buying up every 5.4 liter Raptor on the lots.
Even Roush Fenway driver and truck enthusiast Greg Biffle anxiously awaits his personal 6.2L powered Raptor. He of course will get the first 6.2L production model off the line. Guess it pays to know the right people up at the glass house.
When told about the delivery coming soon, Biffle said, “It’s the very first Raptor produced with the 6.2 in it and I can’t wait. It’s pretty neat that they’d do that for me, and I know it’s gonna have some collector value, but I want to drive it. I can’t wait to get it. I’m like, ‘I want to drive it.’”
We talked with SVT a couple weeks ago who told us they were having a hard time keeping production up with demand. They said they were even considering ways to build more of them to meet dealership requests. While the economy might be struggling out there you wont find any rebates on Raptors this year, that is if you can even find one sitting on the lot.
